''Here I am, able to afford the rent of a million-dollar home in one of the most desirable places in the country, but still not sure how it might be possible to ever buy the kind of house I want, in the kind of place I desire, that would make that investment worth it. I still feel financially way behind my family and friends who've gradually settled into glorious McMansions in the suburbs of Texas.
