The 26 steel, finance, solar, port, telecommunications and entertainment agreements set Saturday are designed to add new vigor to a relationship that Mr. Modi said is benefitting from serious attention from his administration and China's president Xi Jinping.
The memorandums of understanding announced on Saturday cover a range of businesses, and build on a similarly sized program set when Mr. Xi visited India last September. They also follow the signing Friday in Beijing of two dozen government-to-government framework agreements to cooperate in railways, mining, space and even yoga... Solar deals figured prominently.
