Martin, the Trustee or as you refer to it, the Investor, doesn't have any say on how the loan is modified. Those decisions are made at the discretion of the servicer unless the PSA has specific language that any modifications must be approved by the Trustee. Most PSAs don't have that language because it would violate REMIC guidelines. Let me know if you want me to take a look at it. Permalink

I've gotten as far as being verbally offered an "in-house" mod by Wells Fargo, but they won't under any circumstances put anything in writing. All I need to do is send in three payments of a trial mod. and my mod will become permanent without my having to submit any more paperwork or go through another protracted review. (Right after I get back from visiting that oceanfront resort in Arizona, presumably.) I am so very tired of the lies, Mr. Stumpf.
