One of the biggest shell games going on is through US banking and overdraft fees. For example, a recently released Pew Research report showed that US banks "earned" $29.5 billion in overdraft fees. Keep in mind that 1 out of 3 Americans don't even have a penny saved for retirement. These same banks have been borrowing from the Fed for roughly 0 percent since early 2009. Maybe they are passing on the savings via credit cards? The national average rate on a credit card is 15%, the same figure that put Bernard Madoff in prison
