"September saw yet another fall in house prices for the third consecutive month, with an average value of a house falling to 0.4% (£157,600). Hometrack released figures that the number of buyers trying to find a property fell by 2.9% in September. The trend is in relation to an increase in the number of new build properties. It’s quite simple, supply is outstripping demand, pushing prices down."
