What?! Why wouldn't the UK be durably recovering?! I'm shocked! What is sad is that when a little bit of data comes in that forces the political class to admit that the economy is still not strengthening, they immediately feel compelled to go through the motions of "doing something about it" with more of the same ineffective "stimulus" (knowing that such measures are unlikely to, or provably cannot help, and indeed, probably even hurt, due to additional borrowing).
