"The Teflon-like faith in the implied guarantee of the government sponsored agency sector at long last seems to be cracking, and admittedly well past the point I thought it would. I had thought that 20% drops in housing prices would have caused the markets to connect the dots some time ago that “somebody†would eat the losses on collateral collapse. But better late than never I suppose."
