Washington Mutual reports 4Q net loss of $1.87B, including $1.6B charge

We're unclear on how much of the $1.6B charge was for loan losses and loss provisions vs. the closure of Home Loans. We get the feeling there were not a lot of pay option writedowns going on here. That, it apepars, is yet to come.
