Wall Homes model leasebacks
PostPosted: Tue Feb 03, 2009 7:10 am Reply with quoteBack to top

Thanks for the info on this site. I own a model home that Wall was leasing back for their use. I know at best, we can expect not to receive any lease payments until the court directs them to do so. In the meantime, I'm wondering if any other lessors have heard anything or learned anything from being in contact with Wall. Thanks for all the posts so far and best of luck to everyone else with a stake in this.

I just purchased a Wall Home in Prosper and have been served liens in the amount of over $60,000.00 that Wall did not pay it's contractors. If anyone buys a Wall home BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!. It is sad that company operates this way they build a very nice house.

Prosper,

If you closed before the liens were filed then they cant do anything , and if they closed you with liens on the house then the title company will be in trouble. It should not be a problem.

Subs are still working on the exteriors of homes in San Antonio--and the supervisors are still employed.

Earnest Money

Considering Wall's current condition, what are the chances of getting earnest money returned to Wall customers?

I think your best option is to move on to another builder. The market is so competitive right now that you can probably negotiate a better price with a better builder on a better home and come out ahead.

We have moved on and are looking at other options but we still would like to get our earnest money back if possible. We recently signed a cancellation and requested a return of the earnest money. We were told we should receive it in 7 - 10 days. I was just wondering if anyone else was waiting to get theirs or has received it.
