this bullshyt program is going towards debt payments just like the last time

why not issue tax deductable vouchers instead, send in the reciepts for reimbursement

our politicians are transparent retards

much more respect to admit you don't know something than stab in the dark at answers with knee jerk speed.

guess it doesn't matter.

Politicians are not ...they are liars. Think about it. This package was never designed to go into the market as a whole. It is a giveaway to lenders facing massive pending forclosures, to buy time to pass a mortgage bill. Course, can't SAY that, cause then it looks like they are covering wall street for bad investments.

its supposed to (at least the cash per family aspect) stimulate spending, but is going to go towards debt repayment.

Just suggesting how to actually steer it to spending on retail goods.

agreed though, its a tap dance maneuver.

Looked at another way, it's a method to buy votes at $600-$1200/apiece.
