In October Champion Window announced that it would close its Houston plant and cut 135 jobs. However, a few companies expanded. I wonder what's the reason?

Champion cut jobs because they closed their plant. They closed their plant because the majority of their workforce was illegal, and the ICE/INS shut them down. It was not an economic reason to shut down; it was due to their violating the law.
What companies expanded? What are you talking about? Window companies? Oil companies?
Champion's having problems again. This time due to its parent company, Atrium Windows. Some of my home builder buddies in Dallas tell me Atrium is weeks behind on shipping. And they have slowed their shipments to Champion here in Houston too.
Haven't talked to any Houston people lately, so don't know what affect its having here?
