Jeff Immelt just stepped in to buy 50,000 shares of GE.

So, at today's low (so far) of $7.50 per share, his price tag was a piddly $375,000.

Shocked BahHahahahahahaha

Uhm, not exactly a screaming vote of confidence for your company there Jeff. And CNBC reports it as "breaking news" (with no critical commentary of course Rolling Eyes ).

$6.37 ... on a day when the DOW is up over 100

This is shocking for someone like me who cut my teeth in the manufacuturing industry where GE holds (held?) God-like status.

The rumor on the street is that GE may go the way of AIG. I find it extremely hard to believe, but we'll see.

If the strong dollar we've seen of late starts to roll over, we may just see GE rally on the currency play alone.

I don't like the idea of being long ANY Amercian company right now, but I must say I'm tempted here. 1000 shares of GE for just over $6K -- that's almost like a lottery ticket ... who would have thought that was ever going to be possible.

The last trade had a 5 handle ....

Oh my God. This stock is trading like GE is going out of business, rather than just a company that is going to lose its AAA rating. Its true, the world really is coming to an end.

3/4 of a billion shares traded hands today. It takes my breath away
when I think of the combined REALIZED losses in just one day.

I have never bought GE shares but as I am seeing the market from some days there is big turn over going on. I want to buy some new share but I am not able to judge the market. Can you suggest me which one should I buy??
