If its a Bank of America loan, I can probably get in contact with the asset manager to at least get them back into the house. I would be willing to provide the keys to the property if the locks have been previously changed.

Martin, you know my number.

I'm not sure if any of the bloggers have been dropped on their heads but it is quite clear Steve that yours has hit the concrete more than once. We can all certainly contribute funds to help these folks in the short term but it seem we have some very talented people willing to do what ever they can to help them get their home back. In stead of welcoming and possibly coordinating any help that might be of assistance to them you choose to give your money and rail against those who are offering more than a fish for today. Maybe you could be so kind as to help everyone who wants to help get in touch with these folks do so and let them decide who they would like to accept help from.. BTW, humility is an attitude worth persuing and pride always preceeds a great fall.

SteveP,

You are an ignoramus! It's obvious you have bought into the propaganda the government has spewed, hook, line and sinker. How you can admonish someone that is willing to help these people pro bono is beyond my comprehension.

I'm certain there is high paying government job in your future. They're always looking for big thinking problem solvers. I've got it! You could head up the Hope-4-Homeowners federal program that helped ONE person. Man up, SteveP.

You are THE MAN SteveP.

And yes, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Does anybody know if the Arteaga's have a place to sleep tonight? Any word on the charity donations, is there enough yet for this family to get into an apartment? If not, how short are they? Although I'm now on the opposite coast, I used to live in the SF Valley. Winnetka is a pretty pricey area but nearby Conoga Park & Reseda both have numerous affordable apartments. Anybody there local in the SFV kow of any 2 or 3 bedroom apartments that are offering a cheap move-in special?

I transferred money to their account and so did others... I'd like to think we could at least make a dent in the $12,000 they got scammed out of... come on... $100? Whose with me?

And SERIOUSLY, let me know if you're a loan modification company or individual making a donation, because I'll get that information to CBS who is covering the story and they'll be able to say that the legit loan modification companies stepped up.

Here's your moment... take it. Show CBS, the family and all of California that there are loan modification people that care about people and their industry's reputation.

Martin....I know you are an American Idol.....but seriously.....there is a good chance that we can help this family. Please give me 5 minutes and let's see if we can give this horror story a happy ending. We truly want to help!! I tried to contact the reporter and I haven't received a call back yet.

Thanks,
Shane Barker
